Folashade Alli brings over 30 years breadth and depth of experience to significant commercial projects and strategic transactions. She has a skill for solving complex legal problems and her expertise makes her an exceptional lawyer with strong business acumen.

Folashade Alli is currently the Chairperson of the Professional Ethics Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association. She is also a member of the Professional Conduct Committee of the international body of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). She is the immediate past Executive Secretary of the CIArb (Nigeria Branch). She was the also the Chairperson of the 2017 CIARB Annual Conference which was lauded as one of the most successful arbitration conferences in Africa in recent time. In addition, she represents Nigeria at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)Commission on Arbitration and ADR in Paris.

Mrs Alli has acted in the capacity of the sole arbitrator, member of a panel of Arbitrators and Chairman of the Arbitration Tribunal. She is also an approved Mediator with the Lagos State Multi door Courthouse. She was one of 6 Nigerian professionals selected by the World Intellectual Property Organisation to train the Nigerian judiciary on Intellectual Property. She is qualified to act as a Capital Markets Operator by the Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria and has acted as a Capital Market Solicitor in several securities transactions.

Prior to setting up FAA (formerly known as VATAd Solicitors) in 2003, she worked with the following Law firms; Robert Sykes Q.C, London, John Roberts Q.C, London, Aluko & Oyebode and was former group legal adviser to the Bollore group namely: SDV, Transcap, Wasa Delmas and Alraine Shipping agencies. Folashade Alli is a Notary Public and Chartered Arbitrator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and is member of the distinguished Lincolns Inn, London. She is a Director on the Boards of private companies and non-governmental organizations.
