What is the SLP?

Introduction

The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Legal Practice (NBA – SLP) was inaugurated on 9th December 2004. The Section was created following the approval of the National Executive Council (NEC) pursuant to the resolution of the Annual General Conference held in Enugu in 2003. The NBA-SLP was set up primarily to improve the legal profession to meet the needs of the 21st century and to reposition members to embrace the changes occasioned by globalisation, information technology and economic developments in Nigeria.

The Section currently has 10 (Ten) Council Members drawn from diverse legal backgrounds and 8 (Eight) committees established to cover areas of interest with a view to encouraging specialised legal practice for all Nigerian lawyers and law firms.

To all our practitioners, the SLP is your Section irrespective of your area of specialization and we encourage you to join and be an active member of the Section.
