Orowhuo W. A. Okocha, Esq., PhD, more commonly known as “Oros”, is a lawyer from, and practicing primarily in, Rivers State. He is a proud alumnus of both the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, where he obtained his LLB, and Brunel University, London, United Kingdom, where he obtained both an LLM and a PhD.
He was called to the Bar in 2008, and is currently the Assistant Managing Solicitor of the law firm of OKOCHA & OKOCHA, a position he has held since the year 2017.
He was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law, Rivers State University, in August, 2022.
He specializes in General Litigation and Conveyancing, and his teaching and research interests include:
– Criminal Law and Procedure
– The Law of Evidence
– Human Rights
– Comparative Law
– Comparative Criminal Justice
He is also an avid Bar man, with profound love, passion and zeal for the Legal Profession in Nigeria and is a proud member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch. In his spare time, he loves to play basketball and listen to music, sometimes even at the same time.
